Concept of redevelopement of the oldest city park in Kaliningrad.
Old parks in Russian cities often bear the imprints of very different periods in their history, and they are sometimes filled with incompatible elements and functions. Nevertheless, this park is an urban structure that through many years has taken its shape and has become so familiar to the city dwellers that no part of it can now be simply deleted.
This makes the architectural task both interesting and at the same time very difficult.
This project is a search for an architectural solution for the central park in Kaliningrad with its actual history of more than two hundred years.
The main principle is to accept its territory with all its contradictions as a miniature model of the city itself.
Functionally, the parts of the park already established are being recorded as a fact, systematized and united through the central alley, and thus form the new stable park system.
